The National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka (NCEASL), originally the Evangelical Fellowship of Ceylon (EFC) was inaugurated on the 24th of June 1952 .

The membership of 608 individuals and 18 Churches represented all 9 protestant denominations present in the island.

In June 2002, we celebrated our 50th Anniversary.

The National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka (NCEASL) was founded in 1952 to serve the national church. Today the Alliance has grown significantly and continues to impact the lives of many.

NCEASL's membership consists of 5 Christian denominations, 74 Churches and Christian organizations representing more than 200,000 Evangelical Christians in Sri Lanka.

In keeping with our vision of "Unifying the Church to Transform the Nation", our services and ministries are geared towards transforming lives, communities and our nation through proactive intervention in five broad areas:

Sri Lanka is an island republic located off the Indian subcontinent. It is home to 20 million people from diverse ethnic backgrounds of which the majority in Singhalese Buddhist.

Sri Lanka has been the ground of vicious ethnic conflict for over two decades. The war has brought about untold suffering and the loss of over 100,000 lives. In 2004, the coastal areas of the island were battered by the fierce Asian Tsunami, claiming over 40,000 lives. The waves also took away livelihoods, homes and belongings, marring the souls of the living.

In a land where all hope seems to be lost, we endeavour to reach out to the needy, amidst challenges and religious persecution, by bringing hope and proclaiming the good news to the poor.
