Prayer Summit
17th of January 2008 at the Bible Society, Colombo

A special prayer summit was held on the 17th of January 2008 at the Bible Society in Colombo. This was organized by the NCEASL missions sector along with the Lanka Bible College.

Tom white, director of Frontline Ministries was the main speaker at this programme. Frontline Ministries are involved in equipping prayer leaders thought the world and this programme provided us with the chance to do the same amongst the prayer warriors in Colombo that day.

As the ceasefire agreement was annulled, and the country has plunged into dark violence, this prayer summit was a much needed intervention to equip Christians to pray for this land. The two day seminar provided a strong foundation to intercede for the needs and the people of this county.

Tom White and his wife, Terry were able to minister to those gathered on “Cultivating the habits of the heart”

A Participant shared the following thoughts as the programme came to a close; “Generally we have either prayer meetings when we pray or we have seminars where we learn about prayer. But this summit was a great opportunity because we learned more about the power of prayer by acting upon what we learnt and did within the programme.
